Established in September 2006, Junior Achievement India (JA India) is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. In partnership with businesses and educators, JA brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential by providing a proven bridge between education and industry. Through age-appropriate curricula, JA programs begin at the elementary school level, teaching children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers and consumers. JA programs continue through the middle and high school grades to under-graduate years, preparing students for future economic and workforce issues they'll face. JA does all this with the help of volunteers.
JA India is a member of JA Worldwide™. JA Worldwide™ reaches approximately 7.5 million students per year in 305,000 classrooms and after-school locations. JA programs are taught by volunteers in more than 113 countries around the world. JA Worldwide's™ 245,000 classroom volunteers around the world come from all walks of life and include business people, college students, parents, and retirees. These dedicated volunteers are the backbone of the organization.
